Sports car racing is built around what happens before the car goes back on track.
A GT3 team may be checking component mileage, brake wear and setup before the next session. A Porsche Cup program may be turning a car around between qualifying and the race. A Spec Miata racer may need one wheel bearing, one spare upright and a fresh set of tires to save Sunday. An endurance team may be planning several driver changes, fuel stops and brake service windows before the green flag ever falls.
Then the car comes back in and the process starts again.
That rhythm creates a marketplace around the race car itself, but also around the people, services, facilities, transport, data, hospitality and commercial partnerships that keep a sports car program moving.
RaceTeams.com brings together that marketplace across GT3, GT4, GT2, GTP and other prototype racing, LMP2 and LMP3, Porsche Cup and other one-make series, Spec Miata, SCCA and NASA club racing, WRL and ChampCar endurance, Trans Am, historic racing and other legitimate sports car competition.

A GT3 or Cup car listing may need chassis identity, component mileage, engine and gearbox hours, damper service, software or electronics information, technical documents, crash history and a detailed spares inventory. A Spec Miata buyer may care more about cage history, engine condition, logbook, suspension, wheel sets and a proven baseline setup. A historic buyer may need provenance and restoration records.
The same principle applies to parts. State exact fitment, part numbers, specification, prior use, repairs, known damage, service history and what is included.
RaceTeams.com does not independently inspect, authenticate, certify or guarantee race cars, parts, safety equipment, homologation, class legality, ownership, component life, provenance, seller claims or transaction outcomes. Buyers and sellers are responsible for confirming the details that matter to the intended use and transaction.
Make the transaction unmistakable.
If the provider supplies the race car or competition seat, use Arrive-and-Drive. If the buyer brings the car and is paying for road-course access, use Track Rentals. If the buyer is paying to improve the driver, use Coaching. If the buyer is hiring a person for the race weekend, use Race Crew. If the buyer is purchasing a defined car-development project, use Race Prep. If the buyer is paying for an engine or gearbox rebuild, use Engine Services.
State the car or class supported, location, dates, scope, personnel, buyer responsibilities, parts and consumables, travel, damage terms, insurance or waiver requirements, event permissions, pricing structure, cancellation terms and exact inclusions.
A $2,000 club-racing weekend and a professionally supported GT program can both be legitimate sports car bookings. The listing should make it obvious which one the buyer is evaluating.
Sell only the rights you control or are authorized to package.
Sports car racing can be commercially complex because a single car may involve the team, several drivers, a manufacturer, a championship, the event, the track and independent media. A team does not automatically control series marks. A driver does not automatically control car placement. A property does not automatically control independent content. Media accreditation does not automatically create commercial footage rights.
Define the rights holder, property, term, branding, content, appearances, hospitality, media, usage rights, category exclusivity, investment, approvals, reporting and cancellation terms.
Clear rights ownership is part of the value.
