Racing Decals & Number Kits

Shop racing decals, number kits, printed wraps, sponsor graphics and signs for PWC, snowmobiles, race boats, Figure 8, hill climb and other racing.

About Alternative Racing Decals, Number Kits and Graphics

Before a race vehicle ever reaches the start line, somebody has to put the right number, name, sponsor marks and class identification on it.

That job looks different on every surface. A PWC needs graphics that can live around water and fuel. A snocross sled may need a complete model-specific kit plus replacement panels after a rough weekend. A Figure 8 car might need fresh numbers and sponsor decals before Saturday night. A race boat may need competition numbers and team lettering. A hill-climb car can carry a livery built around one mountain and one event. A land-speed car may wear class, number and sponsor graphics that become part of its history.

Shop finished physical decals, number kits, printed wraps, sponsor graphics, signs and other specialty racing graphics for alternative motorsports.

Find Racing Decals and Number Kits

Listings may include:

  • Race number kits
  • Competition number panels
  • Driver, rider and pilot name decals
  • Sponsor logo decal sets
  • Printed vehicle graphics
  • Full and partial wrap kits
  • Windshield and window graphics
  • Class-identification decals
  • PWC and jet ski graphics kits
  • Snowmobile and snocross graphics
  • Race boat numbers and lettering
  • Figure 8 and demolition derby door graphics
  • Hill-climb car graphics
  • Land-speed race numbers and decals
  • Swamp buggy and mud-racing graphics
  • Lawn mower racing number kits
  • Big-rig and specialty truck graphics
  • Trailer and support-vehicle graphics sold as finished products
  • Pit, dockside, paddock and team signage
  • Sponsor banners and printed signs

This is a controlled Shop category. If the physical product clearly belongs in Merchandise, Parts, Safety Gear, Racing Equipment, Trailers or Memorabilia, use that more specific category instead.

PWC and Jet Ski Graphics

PWC racing is one of the strongest natural fits for a graphics-led Other Items page.

Stand-up skis and runabouts can use:

  • Full graphics kits
  • Number panels
  • Rider-name decals
  • Sponsor logos
  • Handlepole graphics
  • Hull-specific side graphics
  • Replacement sections
  • Class identifiers

Before ordering, confirm the exact make, model, year and hull generation. Sea-Doo, Yamaha and Kawasaki platforms can change body panels and graphic templates between generations.

Marine use also creates demands that ordinary indoor vinyl never sees. Water, UV exposure, fuel, abrasion and repeated cleaning can affect materials. Sellers should describe the vinyl, laminate and intended application they actually provide rather than making unsupported durability claims.

If a customer is paying primarily for custom livery design or creative work, that belongs in Book. If the customer is purchasing the finished printed kit, it belongs here.

Snowmobile and Snocross Graphics

Race sleds offer a lot of surface area and very little mercy for a poorly fitted kit.

Listings may include graphics for:

  • Hoods
  • Side panels
  • Tunnels
  • Windshields
  • Hand guards
  • Number panels
  • Rider names
  • Sponsor logos
  • Replacement race-damaged sections

Confirm chassis generation, exact sled model and body-panel configuration before production. A graphic kit for one Polaris, Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat or Lynx generation may not fit the next.

For a national snocross team, replacement panels can be as important as the original full kit. For a vintage snowmobile racer, period-correct reproduction graphics should be clearly identified as reproductions if they are not original race-period pieces.

Figure 8 and Demolition Derby Graphics

Figure 8 and derby racers often need graphics that are readable, affordable and replaceable.

Listings may include:

  • Door numbers
  • Roof numbers and roof signs
  • Driver-name decals
  • Sponsor decals
  • Window graphics
  • Class identifiers
  • Full or partial door wraps
  • Event-specific graphics

A car can go from clean to wrinkled sheet metal in one night. Sellers who offer replacement sections, flexible sizing or simple number packages can fit this market well.

Promoter rules for number size, roof signs, class letters and placement can vary. Buyers should confirm the rules for Indianapolis Speedrome, a county fair derby, Night of Destruction program or other specific event before ordering.

Race Boat Numbers and Marine Graphics

Race boats may use competition numbers, team lettering, class identifiers, sponsor graphics and full or partial liveries.

Buyers should distinguish competition graphics from legal vessel registration markings. Those are not always the same requirement.

Before purchasing, confirm:

  • Hull type
  • Surface material
  • Dimensions
  • Number and class
  • Driver or throttleman names where used
  • Sponsor logos
  • Vinyl and laminate
  • Water and fuel exposure expectations
  • Installation method

A finished race-boat number or graphic kit belongs here. Graphic design, livery development and wrap installation sold as labor belong in Other Racing Bookings & Specialty Services.

Hill Climb and Land Speed Graphics

Hill-climb and land-speed teams often build identity around a single car, class, number and event.

Listings may include:

  • Hill-climb number kits
  • Pikes Peak-style race-number and class graphics
  • Driver-name decals
  • Sponsor-logo kits
  • Full or partial race-car wraps
  • Bonneville and land-speed race numbers
  • Class-identification graphics
  • Support-vehicle and trailer graphics

The seller should not imply that a generic number kit satisfies a particular event's current technical or identification rules. Buyers should verify number placement, size, class markings and sponsor requirements with the applicable event or sanctioning body.

Air Racing Graphics

Air-racing decals, race numbers and team graphics can fit this category when the product has a clear competition use.

Aircraft markings can carry regulatory, identification, balance, material and maintenance considerations beyond ordinary vehicle graphics. RaceTeams.com should not advise that a decal, wrap or marking is appropriate for an aircraft merely because it is marketed for air racing.

Sellers should identify the intended surface and application accurately. Buyers should consult appropriately qualified aviation professionals before applying graphics where aviation requirements may be affected.

Buying Finished Racing Graphics

Before purchasing, review:

  • Racing discipline
  • Race vehicle type
  • Make, model and year
  • Body, hull or panel configuration
  • Race number
  • Class designation
  • Driver, rider or pilot name
  • Sponsor logos included
  • Dimensions
  • Material
  • Laminate or finish
  • Adhesive type
  • Printed, cut-vinyl or magnetic construction
  • Full kit, partial kit or individual panel
  • Pre-cut or trim-to-fit status
  • Proof and artwork approval process
  • Production lead time
  • Replacement-panel availability
  • Installation instructions
  • Shipping and return terms

For customized products, check spelling, numbers, sponsor order, colors and dimensions before approving the proof.

A physical product can still be made to order and remain Shop. Personalization does not automatically turn it into a service.

Selling Racing Decals and Graphics?

Graphics companies, print shops, teams, race shops and legitimate sellers can list finished physical products here.

Strong listings should identify:

  • Racing type
  • Product type
  • Intended race vehicle
  • Make, model and year where relevant
  • Exact-fit or universal application
  • Dimensions
  • Material and laminate
  • Finish
  • Full, partial or number-kit configuration
  • Personalization options
  • Artwork requirements
  • Proof process
  • Production time
  • Replacement panels available or not
  • Installation included or not
  • Seller location
  • Price
  • Shipping and return terms

Only reproduce team marks, driver or pilot identities, sponsor logos, series marks, event marks, photographs and other protected material when you have a lawful basis to do so.

Receiving a logo file from a customer does not by itself prove that the customer has reproduction rights.

Product, Service and Sponsorship Boundaries

A finished physical number kit, printed wrap, decal set, banner or sign belongs in Shop.

Custom livery design, logo design, artwork preparation, creative direction, printing coordination, wrap installation, wrap removal and graphic repair sold primarily as labor belong in Other Racing Bookings & Specialty Services.

The right to display a sponsor, sell sponsorship inventory or associate a brand with a team, driver, pilot, event or race vehicle is a Partner transaction, not a graphics sale.

Buying a sponsor decal does not create a sponsorship relationship.

Know the Category Boundaries

Finished physical racing decals, number kits, printed wraps, sponsor graphics, team signs and banners belong here when another Shop category does not better describe the product.

Ordinary shirts, hats, hoodies and fan merchandise belong in Other Racing Merchandise & Apparel.

Wheels, tires, propellers, pumps, tracks, suspension, brakes and other functional race-vehicle components belong in Other Racing Parts.

Radios, timing systems, scales, jacks, stands and portable pit equipment belong in Other Racing Equipment.

Historic, signed, race-used or provenance-driven graphics and signs belong in Other Racing Collectibles & Memorabilia when collector value is the main reason to buy them.

Design, installation, marketing and other professional labor belong in Other Racing Bookings & Specialty Services.
